In the last couple of years, the company has entered into the market, and in a little span, it has created its huge client base from no client at all. It was made possible by the huge efforts of the company behind market research and consumer utility. It offered some of the most sought features by the users of its medium-priced devices also which made it much popular among the customers who love to have the device in this range.

The models launched by the company in last two years have got red carpet welcome from the buyers and now due to same response only, the company is going to have one more model in its range. It is now all set to launch another one in the same series. The OnePlus 5 is expected to be launched on 5th July 2017. However, this has not yet been officially declared. It will have features like dual SIM facility, fingerprint sensor, and quick charging. It will run on the Android v7.0 Operating System which is also known as Nougat. OnePlus 5 price in India is yet to be declared.

Design and Display

Not too much information is available about the design of this new OnePlus baby. The colour variants too are yet undeclared. But going by the designs of the phones launched so far, we can be sure that it will be sleek, stylish and handy. Hence those who go on the design of the device it will be a much to get one device.

The OnePlus 5 brandishes a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen which has full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. This is the output of a density of 401 pixels per inch. The touch screen of the phone is a capacitive one which is highly responsive to multi-touch. Hence with all the touchscreen phones in the market, it will also get a reputed place.

Performance and Storage

The smartphone is fed by power from an octa-core (2.45GHz quad-core Kryo + 1.9 GHz quad-core Kryo) processor. Additionally, the latest chipset of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 and a massive 6GB RAM enables a pleasant and swift gaming and multitasking experience. The graphics are enabled by a GPU of Adreno 540. Hence the user may use it for professional use or gaming one; the device will surely meet his expectation with its beautiful features.

A flipside of the phone is that it only has an internal memory and does not support an expandable memory which can be enhanced by a microSD card. However, the internal memory itself is mammoth 128GB which would more than suffice for storing photographs, videos, music and a lot more. Those who are just concerned with the device it is of no match, but if one wants to insert a memory card, then there can be a disappointment.

Camera and Battery

The OnePlus 5 is house to a 23MP primary camera. The output of the 5,520 x 4,140 pixels’ resolution images can be further enriched with the help of autofocus, optical image stabilization; dual colour LED flash, ISO control, High Dynamic Range mode, exposure compensation, etc. This primary camera also enables recording of high-quality videos of 3,840 x 2,160 at 30 frames per second.The phone even has a 16MP front camera which would be a blessing for selfie lovers and front angle recording. It would even enable high-quality video calls. Hence those who love quality recording or image capturing this will surely help to have a better experience in the same.

The OnePlus 5 gets it energy from a 4,000mAh Li-polymer type battery. This battery is claimed to provide a long duration battery backup. Even if this dies out, one can charge it up just as quickly because of the dash charge feature. Hence those days had gone when one had to run for battery charging.

Network and Connectivity

The network of the phone can be derived from any of 4G, 3G or 2G Indian bands by inserting a SIM card in both or either of the two provided slots. The VoLTE feature enables high-speed wireless communication with any GSM service provider. GPRS, as well as EDGE features, are available for both SIM cards.

As for the connectivity department, the smartphone offers dual-SIM slots, 4G, voice over LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n, advanced Bluetooth v4.2, A-GPS, Glonass, mobile hotspot, a type-C USB slot and Near Field Connectivity. The multimedia options available with this device are a loudspeaker and 3.5 mm audio jack. Though, as with most of its handsets, even this one doesn’t have an FM radio.

With this device, it claims to provide one of the most powerful processors and camera in this segment. Other cashable features of the phone include smart connectivity, great battery backup, and a high internal storage capacity. Though the price of the phone is yet to be revealed, it is anticipated to be a little on the high end because of these features. But there is hardly any room for complaint left thanks to the amazing features the phone houses.

For extra security, it even has a fingerprint sensor which is housed in the front portion of the device. Other sensors like light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope are also provided in this device. OnePlus has become a top choice for smartphone buyers, and with this one, it is expected to retain the position.
